The Band

Deborah is like a ray of sunshine and likes to keep the rest of their guys on their toes. She has grown up listening to an eclectic mix of music ranging from 60’s Soul / Motown, to Ska and Reggae and this has no doubt helped her find her own distinctive sound. She has recently performed alongside up and coming Manchester artists on BBC Radio Manchester and the award-winning event All About Good Music in the Northern Quarter, Manchester.

Sarah has always had a passion for music from a very early age. Originally a keen flautist, she quickly discovered her voice was actually her favourite instrument. She has since performed at venues all over London and the rest of the country, including the world famous Cafe de Paris. She has been part of a variety of bands and shows, but it's with The DeeVines she feels most at home. Having being raised on a very broad range of musical stylings, she's dipped her toes in most genres, but has settled on soul and R'n'B as her favourite. Since joining The DeeVines she's brought extra depth to the vocals with a mix of lead and harmonies..... not to mention a big old smile!

As an instrument tutor and experienced performer, John brings attention to detail and technical proficiency to his guitar parts gleaned from his time in London studying a Bachelor's Degree in Popular Music Performance. He has played in many bands across a range of genres honing his musical skills as well as offering his services as a session guitarist. John's passion for groove lends itself perfectly to Motown, Soul and Funk music making him a vital asset to a tight-knit rhythm section.

All the way from Colorado, USA, the DeeVines would like to introduce you to Cliff. A major contributor to The DeeVines distinctive sound, Cliff has over 20 years experience playing Soul, Motown, Funk, Reggae, Ska and Indie with various bands on the circuit around the UK and abroad. Whilst keyboards is just one area of his expertise, Cliff brings bags of energy to the stage and lots of fun within the band. He loves to throw down the occasional rap on some of the songs in The DeeVines playlist and he’s also known for strutting his funky stuff whilst playing. It’s little things like this which help makes the DeeVines performance a truly unique and memorable experience.

Like all good bass players, Eddie brings groove to the party. Previously he’s been involved in Indie and classic Rock bands, as well as Blues bands including an Elvis tribute band. Soul has quickly became his trademark – which suits the rest of the band just fine. His main influence is James Jamerson who played on countless Motown records with The Funk Brothers. Between Eddie and Deano on the drums, this tight rhythm section will always lay down an ever-reliable foundation for the other musicians to bounce off.

Dean brings a wealth of enthusiasm and talent to the table and is the backbone of The DeeVines. His musical influences go back to his childhood days were his musical heavily biased around Roots Reggae, Funk, Soul and Hip Hop. When he picked up the sticks for the first time he was keen to learn different genres, so he broadened his musical horizons and started to listen all genres for inspiration. It paid off - a few months later he was recording in the studio and has been on the circuit ever since amassing a wealth of experience. Dean has played with many bands covering most genres which has enabled him to mix all his musical influences and create his own individual funky style - a style which fits in well with The DeeVines repertoire of songs.
